  • Fundraiser: In February, it was reported that  Eden Research plc (LON: EDEN) had raised £10.1millon out of which £ 6 million will be reportedly used to develop and commercialize its insecticide products and seed treatments and £ 2 million will be used to foster the use of its Sustaine product with traditional agrochemicals.


  • Acquisition: In September, it was reported that  Sumitomo Chemical Company Limited had acquired Nufarm Limited’s South American crop protection and seed treatment operations in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Chile ("Nufarm South America") for $1,188 million cash.
