However, in recent times there has been an increasing inclination toward sweet and easy-to-peel fruits like bananas among fruit options which has the potential to impact the Japanese avocado market. Further with the increasing trend of direct purchase by retailers to skip intermediaries. Moreover, with the reported expansion of fresh produce retailers the market for avocado in the nations is expected to witness promising growth. Besides avocados from Mexico, the demand for avocado was also responded to by Colombian Hass avocados which were reportedly exported by Westfalia Fruit Colombia (WFC) to Yokohama, Japan as reported in March 2020. Thus, the aforementioned can be conclusively delineated that the avocado market in Japan is expected to witness robust growth during the forecast period.
