In July 2017, Oilseed and protein specialist Avril acquired French experts in lecithins and phospholipids Novastell in a bid to bolster its ingredients portfolio.

Global agribusiness and food company Bunge’s Lecithin & Specialty Ingredients (SLI) division signed a European distribution agreement on 9 May 2017 with chemical and ingredient distributor Univar Netherlands BV.Under the agreement, Univar will distribute Bunge’s BungeMaxx lecithin brand to seven European countries, including Switzerland, the UK, Ireland, Italy, Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
